My motto in discovering for myself that there is no asthma is:
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.” (attributed to Albert Einstein, but not confirmed).
Others have used different expressions of the same “thinking inside the box”:
“I call it the law of the instrument, and it may be formulated as follows: Give a small boy a hammer, and he will find that everything he encounters needs pounding.” ( Abraham Kaplan‘s, Law of the instrument Wikipedia Article).
Or:
I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail. (Abraham H. Maslow 1962, Toward a Psychology of Being)
Or:
“Déformation professionnelle is a French phrase, meaning a tendency to look at things from the point of view of one’s own profession rather than from a broader perspective. It is a pun on the expression formation professionnelle, meaning “professional training”. The implication is that professional training often results in a distortion of the way one views the world.” (Wikipedia article).
I have had asthma for the past 10 years, and recently I was preoccupied to try something new, but did not quite make sense why I should try.
Nonetheless I try anything at least once, so I thought I will give this a try. I could not leave with myself if I did not try.
Read my blog and you will be astonished about this small discovery, as I was when I started to see very positive results.
And it is all thanks to my dear wife and soul mate, as she constantly encouraged me to try.
Thanks for looking,
